One purpose of the PHP program is to provide an opportunity for those who have recently completed the inpatient rehab program to implement the skills they learned in treatment.

This transitional program also provides more structure and supervision than a standard outpatient program.

Therefore, if an individual meets the weekly requirement of attending a minimum of five Alcoholic Anonymous (AA) or Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings per week, they are allowed to participate in the social activities offered through Swift River’s PHP program.

Social Activities At Swift River

Social activities are scheduled on the weekends. Transportation is provided and costs are covered by Swift River.
Some of the activities offered through the PHP Social Activities program at Swift River include:

  • beach trip
  • go-karting

The transition between inpatient rehab and returning home is a process. Swift River recognizes that each person’s individual path is different and offers a PHP program, intensive outpatient (IOP), and transitional housing (or sober living).

PHP is the most structured, but offers a variety of social activities as reinforcement for adhering to the recommendations of the program.
