Prospective students and families always want to know "How's the food?" We're proud to report that it's excellent!
Swift River contracts with Sage Dining Services out of Towson, Maryland to operate the dietary/food service operation on site. We have been very pleased with this partnership, which is in part a direct result of feedback from parents and staff. With Sage Dining Services at the helm, we have a diverse menu, nutritionally sound and varied meals, and vegetarian options. Sage specializes in serving the private school market and has a lot of experience with our student population as well as a reputation of being very responsive to student and staff feedback.

Sage has developed a "Spotlight" system by which foods are color coded either Red (not the healthiest — eat less of it), Yellow (Okay, but may have more sugar and fat than you want), and Green (foods that are the best for you). This is an example of how Sage helps our students and staff manage their selections and develop healthier eating habits. Sage prides itself on cooking all menu items from scratch. Students always enjoy a hot breakfast and Sunday Brunch is a favorite. Fresh fruit is always stocked and available throughout the day. Lunches offer the sandwich bar, fresh salad bar, homemade soups and a choice of several entrees. Dinners often take on a theme and strive to satisfy a wide variety of tastes. We'll never make it, "like mom makes it" but we try to come close.
